Cramps in the middle of the night
1.Electrolyte imbalance: Most cramps are caused by excessive sweating during exercise, which causes an electrolyte imbalance in the body, so it is important to drink plenty of water, consume trace elements and stretch muscles before bed.
2.Chronic diseases: Nerve damage, such as sciatica, diabetes can cause neuropathy. Abnormal nerve conduction caused by high blood sugar can cause cramps. Patients with kidney disease, especially those who go for dialysis are also prone to cramps due to dramatic changes in electrolytes level in the body. Arthritis also causes cramps due to nerve damage.
3.Cardiovascular problems: Varicose veins can also cause cramps in the lower limbs. 80% of arterial embolism comes from the coronary arteries of the heart, so hypertension, varicose veins, edema, and heart failure may all cause cramps.
How to solve:
1.Increase the intake of trace elements, enhance blood vessel elasticity, and improve nerve conduction function.
2.Drink plenty of water to promote blood circulation.
3.Avoid maintaining the same posture for a long time.
